We prove whether the thing you sell can be taken out of the software you ship it in — then help you close it.
The thing you sell ships on every machine you do not control
If your product contains an engine, a model, a content library or a paid capability that runs on the customer's device, then a copy of it is on every device that installs it. Hardening, obfuscation and anti-tamper make that copy expensive to reach. They do not usually make it impossible to use.
We test the difference, end to end, on a real device — and we hold one bar for what counts as a result: paid value obtained on an ordinary, unmodified device with no purchase, surviving a restart. Anything short of that is a step along the way, and we report it as a step.
Where this practice lives
This work has its own site, because it is written for a different reader than the rest of what we do — the person who owns the product, not the person who owns security.
There you will find the three patterns we keep finding, a table of why each protection layer did not hold, what the fixed-scope exposure check covers, and where we think this problem is ultimately solved.
